For the first time in California's living memory, Wine By Sail is carrying wine from the wineries to market by sailing vessel, providing environmentally friendly transport while bringing back the romantic Age of Sail.

Wine By Sail will ply the Napa and Petaluma rivers via San Francisco Bay, the most direct routes between the great winemaking valleys of Northern California and the wine consuming cities of San Francisco, the greater Bay Area, and beyond.

The vineyards have chosen their best, most sustainably-produced wines for the sailboat voyage, so wine connoisseurs enjoy the full green wine experience. Each bottle bears a label that says, "Delivered by sail, a better deal for the planet."

Guests enjoy traditional voyages on these seldom traveled, scenic rivers while enjoying local artisan foods and dipping into some of the ship's cargo.
